PDF/A-1b
As TUbama requires complicance to the PDF/A-1b standard, which is an ISO standard for the archiving of digital documents, the template should provide this. Unfortunately, this is not just done by adding \usepackage[a-1b]{pdfx}
as it can be checked e.g. with veraPDF or Adobe Preflight.
It requires at least that the SEEMOO and TU logo are saved in RGB mode:
and adding \Publisher{...}
to the generated .xmpdata
file (A quick check with a fresh download of the template devoted that this is not sufficient).
In my thesis, I also moved
\PassOptionsToPackage{dvipsnames}{xcolor}
\usepackage[a-1b]{pdfx}
directly after \documentclass
and removed all \pdf*
keys from \hypersetup
in classicalthesis-config.tex
since they are ignored due to pdfx
. Additionally, it moved the \begin{filecontents*}{\jobname.xmpdata}
before \documentclass
as recommended by the pdfx
documentation (and also seperated the personal data and included it before).
